Introduction
Certificate III in Fitness has been designed to equip graduates with the knowledge and skills to become successful gym instructors, group fitness instructors and aqua instructors.
This qualification reflects the role of instructors who perform a range of activities and functions within the fitness industry. Depending on the specialisation chosen, this qualification provides a pathway to work as an instructor providing exercise instruction for group, aqua or gym programs.
Learn the skills and knowledge to become a fitness instructor, providing exercise instructions for group, aqua or gym programs. You’ll work in locations such as gyms, fitness facilities, pools & community facilities.

Career Pathway
Holders of this qualification will likely be working or seek to work in the fitness industry as exercise consultants possibly moving into personal training or facility management or specialist fields (such as musculoskeletal rehabilitation, cardiac rehabilitation, or services to specific populations – diabetics, stroke patients, the obese).
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for the Certificate in Fitness course, students must have an interest in fitness, have a smartphone, tablet, laptop or computer, as well as internet access, be over 16 years old and meet Fitlink's acceptance criteria, which includes an eligibility telephone interview and demonstrating satisfactory levels of language, literacy and numeracy.
